The Masked Bandits Strike Again.

Raccoons are sometimes referred to as "masked bandits" due to the fur around their eyes. They may look cute and cuddly, but their appearance is deceiving. These animals can be quite fierce. Their sharp claws and teeth may cause damage to your home or you if in close proximity. According to last year's inspections raccoons were most active during the springtime. This is when most of their pups are born and the mother needs to find a safe place to hide her young. If they choose your home they may burrow into your attic or other parts of the house. Raccoons can be dangerous and having them in your home increases your chance of catching the diseases they carry. Do not attempt to remove these animals yourself. Their dens are often full of feces and covered in urine which could spread disease. Also, if there is a family there the mother will be protective over her children and may attack if you get too close. If you find that raccoons have nested in your home, give us a call and we will take care of it.
