Moles consume various food sources as part of their diet. These include roots, earthworms, and insect larvae. In order to reach these sources moles will burrow underground and search for their prey. Because roots and worms are plentiful in most gardens it is likely that yours may attract moles. If it does, moles will then burrow into the soil and dig up your plants to get to the roots and insects. If you find moles disturbing your garden or other parts of your property call Guardian Wildlife Services. We will remove the moles and make sure they do not return.

Moles are a common animal found throughout Illinois. They are round shaped animals with hairless, pointed snouts; small eyes; and no visible ears. Moles are about 4.4 to 6.25 inches long and weigh about 2.5 to 4.5 ounces. These small rodents tend to live in areas where the soil is easy to dig in such as sandy areas, grasslands, woodlands, gardens, etc. This is because moles dig a series of intricate tunnels in which they live and breed. Because of this moles can do a lot of damage to your home or yard depending on where they choose to dig. They are also a nuisance when it comes to gardens and flowerbeds. If you find these animals living on your property call Guardian Wildlife Services and we will take care of the issue for you.
